Role Description
As a Social Media & Outreach Intern, you will support IaMig’s online presence and community engagement efforts through strategic content creation and outreach initiatives.
- Social Media Management: Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content across platforms.
- Community Engagement: Interact with followers and respond to inquiries to build engagement.
- Campaign Support: Help design and execute social media campaigns for awareness and fundraising.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance metrics.
- Partnership Outreach: Assist in identifying and collaborating with influencers and partners.
Time Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Location: Online and in-person options available.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma plus a diploma in a relevant area (or associate degree).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related fields (preferred but not required).
- Passion for social media and community engagement.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media trends.
- Commitment to supporting IaMig’s mission.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in managing social media accounts for organizations or businesses.
- Proficiency in social media tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in the local language of your canton (French, German, Italian, or Romansh).
- Basic proficiency in English for internal communication at IaMig.
- Additional language pairs such as Arabic or Spanish are a plus.
Experience Level
- Applicants with an associate degree or diploma in the field are eligible.
- Bachelor's degree holders with some relevant experience are preferred.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in social media management is valued.
