HR Manager/HR Personnel Intern

Role Description

As an HR Manager/HR Personnel Intern, you will assist in managing HR operations, recruitment, and administrative tasks to support IaMig’s workforce.

  • Talent Acquisition: Assist with recruiting, screening, and onboarding new volunteers and interns.
  • HR Administration: Maintain employee and volunteer records and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Training & Development: Support the design and implementation of training programs.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support in addressing HR-related concerns and fostering engagement.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in applying HR policies and best practices.

Time Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Location: Online and in-person options available.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus a diploma in human resources or a related field (or associate degree).
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related fields (preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of HR functions and processes.
  • Commitment to IaMig’s mission of supporting migrant communities.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience or coursework in HR administration and operations.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in the local language of your canton (French, German, Italian, or Romansh).
  • Basic proficiency in English for internal communication at IaMig.
  • Additional language pairs such as Arabic or Spanish are a plus.

Experience Level

  • Applicants with an associate degree or diploma in the field are eligible.
  • Bachelor's degree holders with some relevant experience are preferred.
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in HR is valued.
