Role Description
As an HR Manager/HR Personnel Intern, you will assist in managing HR operations, recruitment, and administrative tasks to support IaMig’s workforce.
- Talent Acquisition: Assist with recruiting, screening, and onboarding new volunteers and interns.
- HR Administration: Maintain employee and volunteer records and ensure compliance with policies.
- Training & Development: Support the design and implementation of training programs.
- Employee Relations: Provide support in addressing HR-related concerns and fostering engagement.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in applying HR policies and best practices.
Time Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Location: Online and in-person options available.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma plus a diploma in human resources or a related field (or associate degree).
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related fields (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of HR functions and processes.
- Commitment to IaMig’s mission of supporting migrant communities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience or coursework in HR administration and operations.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in the local language of your canton (French, German, Italian, or Romansh).
- Basic proficiency in English for internal communication at IaMig.
- Additional language pairs such as Arabic or Spanish are a plus.
Experience Level
- Applicants with an associate degree or diploma in the field are eligible.
- Bachelor's degree holders with some relevant experience are preferred.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in HR is valued.
