Role Description
The Event Organization team at IaMig plays a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing various community events, workshops, and fundraising initiatives.
- Event Planning: Assist in planning logistics, budgeting, and scheduling of events.
- Community Engagement: Work with stakeholders to ensure broad community participation.
- Venue Coordination: Manage venue arrangements, permits, and setup requirements.
- Volunteer Coordination: Assist in managing volunteers and event staff.
- Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events effectively.
Time Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum of 6 hours per month.
Location: Online and in-person options available.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree holders are encouraged to apply; no prior experience required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Commitment to supporting community-based initiatives.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, or logistics management.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Familiarity with event promotion and social media marketing.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in the local language of your canton (French, German, Italian, or Romansh).
- Basic proficiency in English for internal communication at IaMig.
- Additional language pairs such as Arabic or Spanish are a plus.
Experience Level
- Minimum of 2 years for high school diploma holders.
- Minimum of 1 year for bachelor's degree holders.
- No experience required for master’s degree holders.
- Volunteer experience in event planning or community outreach is highly valued.
