Role Description
As a Communications & Marketing Intern, you will assist in developing and executing strategic communication efforts to enhance IaMig’s visibility and impact.
- Content Creation: Assist in producing engaging content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and website updates.
- Social Media Management: Help manage and grow IaMig’s social media presence across multiple platforms.
- Brand Awareness: Support initiatives to strengthen IaMig’s brand identity and outreach efforts.
- Media Relations: Assist in drafting press releases and reaching out to media contacts.
- Campaign Support: Collaborate on marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
Time Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Location: Online and in-person options available.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma plus a diploma in a relevant area (or associate degree).
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related fields (preferred but not required).
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of marketing and social media trends.
- Commitment to supporting IaMig’s mission.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with content creation, digital marketing, or public relations.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and campaign management.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in the local language of your canton (French, German, Italian, or Romansh).
- Basic proficiency in English for internal communication at IaMig.
- Additional language pairs such as Arabic or Spanish are a plus.
Experience Level
- Applicants with an associate degree or diploma in the field are eligible.
- Bachelor's degree holders with some relevant experience are preferred.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in communications is valued.
